What Are Attars?
Attars are a centuries-old form of traditional Indian perfumery, distinct from a standard essential oil. Rather than distilling a botanical into water and separating out the oil, attars are steam-distilled directly into a base of sandalwood oil or golden jojoba using traditional copper vessels — the ancient deg and bhapka method. The result is a rich, oil-based perfume with remarkable depth and lasting power, made using techniques that predate modern distillation by centuries.
Our Attar Collection
Because attars depend on raw materials harvested in their proper season and a slow, traditional copper-vessel process, they're available only during specific windows each year — please contact us to confirm current availability. Our collection includes:

- Himalaya Saffron Attar — rare and luxurious, co-distilled with sandalwood
- Petrichor (Gandha Bhoomi) Attar — the scent of rain on parched earth, a uniquely Indian tradition
- Jasmine Attar — heady and floral, co-distilled with sandalwood
- Vetiver Attar — earthy and grounding, co-distilled with sandalwood
- Kama-Rama & Kama-Shoonya — proprietary blends co-distilling 11 and 12 aromatics for complex, layered fragrance
